When my sons joined my 30 year old janitorial company years ago, I decided it was time to expand our services. I had a magazine advertisement sitting in my drawer for Morantz Ultrasonics from the 1980’s. I pulled it out, called the company, made an appointment for a demonstration, and ultimately bought the 3-in-1 System. I am so glad I did, because what I thought would be a small add-on of window blind cleaning has become a large part of our business. After attending a Firesonics Seminar and learning the procedures of how to obtain the work, we have added fire restoration to our services which has proven to be extremely profitable and steady work. One of our clients had a fire loss which created heavy soot damage to his workshop, including all of the tools, drill press, bench grinder and numerous hand power tools. We used our Mighty One to clean all these items quickly and profitably. When the client received these back, he couldn’t believe that they all looked brand new and all worked. He was delighted and said it was like opening boxes on Christmas morning.

Mark met Lisa Morantz and Debbie Balliet at the ASCR tradeshow in Colorado Springs in April 2004. He was impressed with the demonstration of the machine and the wide variety of items it was capable of cleaning. In June, we both attended the Firesonics Seminar in Las Vegas to learn more about the ultrasonic equipment and to become Firesonic Technician Certified. The class provided us with the tools and information we needed to get started. In July we purchased the Super Mighty One, with hopes of becoming successful in our new business venture. We got our first job right away and have been going strong ever since. We have been working with a solid restoration company and we could not be more pleased. ServicemasterOn behalf of ServiceMaster, I wanted to take a moment to show our appreciation for your outstanding products and customer service. I was introduced to your company after starting with ServiceMaster. We currently own three of your Ultrasonic machines. I was not an immediate believer in your machines until I attended two days of group training at your facility in Philadelphia. The training was extremely organized and covered every subject that I had concerns with. I was impressed with the involvement of Lisa, Stan, and Joshua. Each of them took time to answer my questions in detail. The purpose of my visit was to learn as much as possible about the ultrasonic equipment in as short of a time as possible. The Morantz family met and exceeded my expectations. I was also able to spend some one on one time with Lisa and Joshua discussing Marketing of my business. Their marketing expertise was a great help in this new business venture. I left with so many ideas. It was then that I realized that Morantz is not only committed to their product and customer service but they have a genuine desire to see that my business succeeds.

I have had several conversations with Lisa and Stan since my training regarding cleaning methods and recommendations on cleaning odd ball items. I can honestly say that each time I have called I had my questions answered and was left with a confident feeling that I could do the job. I recently attended the Firesonic Restoration Course hosted by the Morantz family. This training took my understanding of ultrasonics to a higher level.

March 30 will mark our first anniversary in the blind/shade cleaning and repair business using the Morantz Baby Cleaning Machine. Stan and Lisa have been behind us all the way, always there to answer any difficult cleaning questions. Our most challenging problem was discovering how to clean a silhouette shade that had black crayon scribbled all over it. The people at Morantz had the answer, and our customer was exceedingly happy. We concentrate on the residential market, and the most often heard comment from the homeowner when we return their clean blinds and shades is, ‘Oh, my goodness, they look like brand new.’ We look forward to many more years fulfilling a need in our community.

I purchased my Morantz Baby Blind Cleaning Machine a year and a half ago with the intention of running the business part time to supplement my income.
